Our definition of a part time trader or investor is someone whose main profession is not trading or investing. You could be an IT professional, a sales professional, a lawyer, a doctor or anyone else who must spend their day working at things other than the stock markets. While pursuing your main profession, you hear that the stock markets are booming and that is the place to make money. You feel like trying and open an account with a brokerage firm. You start hearing about hot tips published on different websites and put your money into one of the hot stocks. You watch finance channels in the morning and see brokerage firms targets for key stocks. You feel great and buy some stock. What happens after that ? What happens after you have taken an entry based on some hot tip from some expert on some website ? One of the following:

• Your stock rises and rises and meets the target.. just as you were sure it would
• Your stock rises slightly and then falls below your buy level pushing you into a loss
• Your stock falls immediately after purchase thus scaring you and forcing you to sell
• Your stock just keeps moving in a small range around your buy level frustrating you
